| Player's comments: | Mietta (real name: Daniela Miglietta) was born
in Taranto, Italy on the 12th November 1969. She made her first steps in the music world
by founding a band with her friends. They used to perform on theatre stages and in local
discotheques. She also studied Jazz. In 1987 the decisive event arrives, Daniela
participates and wins the competition "E' nata una stella" (A star is born). The
aspirant popstar was soon asked to perform hit songs by well established composers. Mietta took part in Sanremo 89 with Amadeo Minghi's "Canzoni". From that moment onwards she became a huge pop star in Italy. In 1990 she made her debut in the category "BIG" of Sanremo with Amadeo Minghi, with their entry "Vattene Amore" (Go away my love) - obtaining a 3rd place. Her first cd album "Canzoni" earned five platinum discs and more than 500.000 copies were sold. In 1991 Mietta published her second album - which brought to her the experience of going in tournée around some main Italian public squares.
