I look at distant roads I can't see anything But icy cold dew Which shimmers all through the night All I know is that I'll be flying Away from you I'll leave no trace Of the road I took I'll wear the wings of freedom Just like an angel of serenity REF: A pair of glacial hands I warn you – don't touch me You won't change my mind Your look cuts like a knife I will forget your name Jut like the Desert Rain You ought to feel The heartache You ought to understand That I belong to your past You're like a sepia-photo Without any colours REF: A pair of glacial hands I warn you – don't touch me You won't change my mind Your look cuts like a knife I will forget your name Jut like the Desert Rain Once I cried the tears From a painful heart… Desert Rain REF: A pair of glacial hands I warn you – don't touch me You won't change my mind Your look cuts like a knife I will forget your name Jut like the Desert Rain |
Player's comments: | Singing sisters, Charlene & Natasha, are
establishing themselves as one of the best Maltese acts for the last music year 2001/2. They started the year 2002 off quite on a positive note, ranking third in the "People's Ode Song Contest" held in Malta earlier this year. The performed the song "Gieghltni Ntir" (You made me fly) lyrics by the older of the two Natasha to the music composed by the younger, Charlene. In September they took part in the "Malta Independence Song Contest 2002" with two entries. Both "Nirien" (Fires) and "Sejjahtli, Sejjahtlek" (I called you, you called me) were composed by Charlene to lyrics by Deo Grech. Charlene & Natasha were considered as the best acts of the night for their fully-choreographed performance. Soon "Sejjahtli, Sejjahtlek" was turned into a radio-hit on local radio stations and tipped by local music critics to be one of the best songs in Maltese for the past year. The team behind the latest successes joined forces again and created "Xita fid-Dezert" (music: Charlene Grima; lyrics: Deo Grech). This entry was one of the 12 entries which qualified to the finals of the Malta International Song Contest 2002, held on 26th October at the MCC, Valletta. Their latest creation, "Xita fid-Dezert" (Desert Rain) is also the first Maltese entry for OSC. |
