Eye  -  A sombra de um abraco

Country - Portugal     Player - Pedro

One more night on the road, they are dreams made for sailing
A thousand pieces of nothing, an empty cafe by the moonlight
A wild car that passes through, lights that tell me about you
In the hands an empty glass, full of wanting you in me

I don't know anymore if you come, today I know too much
I'm the shadow of a hug, in each step you walk
I don't know anymore if you come, today I know too much

I cried the lost hours, and the kisses that stayed on the floor
So many tricks in a life, you have the destiny in your hand
A tired city, a sky that tells me about you
You have distant eyes, so near the sureness of the end

I don't know anymore if you come, today I know too much
I'm the shadow of a hug, in each step you walk
I don't know anymore if you come, today I know too much

In the moment they edited their debut album, Eye got themselves in a preview of what their future could be. "Things will change" announced a wish of change, a will of transformation, a honest and determined impulses, focused in the idea of getting through a process of searching something new, that could be seen as, particularly, an objective of the band, or generally, to the scene of the Portuguese music.
Those goals were almost immediately accomplished, by the difference Eye got registered to the scene of Portuguese pop music, giving it light electronic ways, and how they undoubtly showed once more that where you live can never pointed as an obstacle to the success.
Eye come from S. Pedro do Sul, in the Viseu zone, and they gave all country in 18 months their songs, composed by Jorge Sumatra, and the inspiration of the young lead singer Cat. At 16 years old at that time, she assumed herself as the lyricist of all songs, and one of the biggest attractions on stage with her posture.
The most known songs of that album are "Dream with you" and "Sleep with me tonight", whose videos were filmed in Prague, and had the goal of telling a story with beginning, middle and end, what they also done successfully.
Their first album was launched by the independent MVM, but after it they signed a contract with Universal, who edited a second edition of their first one, and invested into a new one. Their second album is "Mood", and its songs are more solid, secure, defined. The little things make the difference, and are revealed in the effects of a hard studio work.
Cat's voice is more secure now, too, expressing deeply the variety of emotions shown in the lyrics, in English and Portuguese. "A sombra de um abraco", the song for Portugal in the onlinesongcontest, has lyrics from Pedro Abrunhosa, and the piano-playing by Bernardo Sassetti.
"Mood" is a more introspective and intimist album. And you can sure the future of the Portuguese pop will cross with Eye's.
