Player's comments: Michalis was born in Cyprus and grew up in the capital, Nicosia. He has attended lessons in the Royal College Of London. In 1995 he released his first CD called "Senario". One year later he competed in the cypriot national final for the Eurovision Song Contest but his two songs came 2nd and 3rd. In 1998, he finally achieved to win the cypriot final and he took place in the ESC with the song Genesis (11th place). After the Eurovision succes, Michalis came to Greece, where he released his new CDs. In 2000 his single "Mono sta oneira"(=Only in dreams) had a huge sucess: the song was in the greek top10 for almost a whole year. In 20/03/2001 Michalis was nominated as the best newcome singer of the year 2000. His next CD "Den eho hrono"(=I have no time)[2001] reaached a platin status in just 9 weeks. His latest album "Kryfo fili"(Hidden kiss) has also become platin and the song "To s'agapo" that it contains has become maybe the most popular greek ballad at this momment.

To s'agapo was a clear winner of the preselection. It took more points than Thalassa mou skoteini (Best song of the Year 2001) and Tremo, the number1 uptempo greek hit. I wish all the best to one of the best male voices.
