Player's comments: | At the beginning of 2001 Dutch the Dutch audience looked at
by a magnifying glass to the production of a particular group. Twelve young
musical talents with one common dream: life for the music! The Yorin programme
Starmaker followed sometimes merciless, sometimes humoristic and always
excited gone to the top. For Bouchra, Martijn, Stefan, Sita, Bart, Anna
and Rachel the dream ended up: K-otic was born!
K-otic can look back on lot of peaks. Unforgettable was it acts during the TMF Awards 2001, where the group on the very last eye had added to the line up. Not much later the group was again in Ahoy '. This time to the side of Lionel Richie, who had the group at the beginning of Starmaker surprising with a visit to the Starcampus. The first single: ' Damn (I think I love you) ' came in of nothing innumerable record break on number one and. Never rather gained a Dutch group at once the upper position in the two several charts. And also the next singles gained good report figures. With ' Damn... ', ' I which made to love you ' and ' I can't explain ' the top 10 of the charts belonged to K-otic. After K-otic had left the Starcampus, remained the popularity undiminished large. With much devotion they worked to the preparations of the No perfectly World tour. The premier concert range of K-otic: 23 sold off live actions in the country. A taking show with all hits from the successful debut album `Bulletproof` and with surprising solo-performances. Not for nothing ended up K-otic eventually after U2 and Bon Jovi in the top 3 of best visited live concerts of 2001. And that was not yet everything, the DVD "live and More" was chosen as the best music DVD of 2001. From the album Bulletproof is meanwhile 235.000 copies sold and thus become this album it best sold of 2001. K-otic have clearly deserved there tracks in 2001. Sita left end 2001 in order to start a solocarrier. Bart, Rachel, Anna, Stefan, Martijn en Bouchra are going on with six The year 2002 again starts well for K-otic. On 13 April they receive their first TMF Award, for best group. They released there second album. At they end of 2002 the group announced there split. After 27th January, when they give there last concert, it will be the end of K-Otic. |
