This was magical! I can't remember such an outstanding and thrilling voting in the history of the Online Song Contest.
Finally Turkey is the big winner of tonight as the turkish song received the top mark of 15 points twice
versus 1x 15 points for the Dutch entry.
But this edition is somehow unique for many reasons:
- It's the first time since we have started the OSC back in 2002 that two songs ended up with the same top score.
In OSC 14, 22, 26, 31 and 35 the first and second placed songs were seperated by only one single point, but now we have a premiere.
- As Spain came on 3rd place with just one point behind, this was definitely the most exciting and closest OSC-voting so far.
- There was a wide variety of tastes when we look onto the scoreboard. 16(!!) songs out of 20 received the top mark of 15 points at least once.
- 3 songs in native language are on the podium (well okay, the Dutch entry was bilingual...)
- For the first time two players entered the competition with their own songs (Armenia and Denmark).
And both ended up with the same amount of points.
